KP 6. Forgive

This Kids' Page can be used by teachers, parents or kids. It has some of the #3 Prayer Point and a few extras.

Decide how much or how little you want to use each time.

Review scriptures, songs and the Kingdom Kid Pledge.

Remember to weed the garden of your heart. Praise God for HIS Righteousness!

Has anyone ever been unkind to you?

Of course!

It happens to everyone.

But, what should we do about it?

Here's a story about a guy who decided

to do something when other people hurt him.

Read this story about Malcom Tent

Have you ever been like Malcom?

Do you carry rocks around in your pocket?

Probably not.

But, you might have rocks in your heart.

Wait!

What???

Read this skit with a parent or another person.

Or watch it here:

"Forgive us our trespasses

as we forgive those

who trespass against us."

So, what does that mean?

In this instance, trespasses mean sins.

And...

God forgives us

IF

we forgive others.

What??  Why??

This is the second part of the

"R" part of I PRAY

The Unforgiving Servant Video

-------------------

Remember that your heart

is like a garden for God's Spirit?

If your heart garden is full of rocks of

un-forgiveness,

those rocks block God's Spirit in your heart.

And that's not good!

after the Forgiveness Skit:

So, did you let go of a rock?

Maybe you don't know if you have any rocks.

Pay attention to the movies that play in your head.

Sometimes we play those mean words or actions over and over

until we get really down.

That's a rock.

Rocks need to go because that's the ENEMY'S tricks

to get you to take your eyes and heart

off of Jesus!

Kick the enemy out!!

How do you kick Him out?

Remember Jesus and His forgiveness.

Praise Him, repent and forgive!

It's that simple!

It's simple, but...

forgiveness can be hard!

It feels like some people don't deserve to be forgiven.

But, God loves us SOOOOOOOO much,

He doesn't want us to be

separated from Him.

At all.

So, we don't forgive others

because they deserve it.

Wait!!!!!

What?????

None of us deserve His forgiveness.

We forgive because

Jesus loves us

and we love Jesus.

So, forgiveness is a gift

Jesus gave us and we give back to Him!

Forgiveness is an act of love for Jesus!

Here's another video about Jacob and Esau.

Are you ready?

Get set,

FORGIVE!!

You'll be glad you did!

Prayer Challenge!

When you pray,

ask the Lord if you have

any rocks that are in your heart.

Then...

Forgive

and

ask God to bless them.

What?  Really?

Yep.  Really!

We'll talk about that more later.
