PRAISE

Make a joyful noise?
What does that mean?
Why do you think we should we praise the Lord?
Remember that part of being rooted and grounded
is knowing God's word?
Here's some of God's Word
that you can begin learning with music!

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness:
come before his presence with singing.
------------------------------------------
Last time, we talked about our
heart as a garden.
When we realize God loves us
SOOOOOO much
that He sent His son Jesus
to show us the way back to Him,
praise is the natural reaction.
What if your favorite superhero, actor or athlete walked in the room?
How would you feel?
What would you say?

When we feel that way
and tell someone how wonderful they are,
do you know what that is called?
Do you know the Lord's Prayer?
Here's how it starts:
"Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name."
What is hallowed?
Did you say hollow?
Or watch it here:

So, PRAISE is the perfect preparation
for our prayers!
And
Praise is like water for the seed
of God's spirit
growing inside us.

Sooooooooo...
Spend a little time praising the Lord
and just tell Him how much you love Him.
You could even use the names of Jesus
from our first Prayer Point.
Have you been noticing ways God
tells you that He loves you?

Thank Him and praise Him for those!!
Notice the joy in your heart when you praise Him?
---------------------

Remember that part of being rooted and grounded
is knowing God's word.
Here's another song with Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord...
Psalm 100:1-5
Here's the Hand of Prayer
Remember who we are talking to.
I - Who is He?
And, who are you?
His child!
P - Praise!
Worship God and RAISE
His name on high.
That means to tell him
how wonderful He is.

Prayer Challenge!
Practice prayers of praise
during your family prayer time
or on your own.
Notice the difference when you
focus your prayers
on Jesus rather than just asking
for your needs.
You could start your prayer
by saying, “God you are __________.
I love you because you ___________.”
