When my grandson was little, I was peeling and slicing apples to make fried apples to go with our breakfast. My grandson was hungry and kept asking for apple slices. I gave him one but he wanted more and more. I tried explaining to him that the apples were for something even better, but of course he didn't understand. He was hungry and didn't want to wait.
I thought, that is just like us with our Heaven Father. We want a speedy answer to prayer. Sometimes he says, "Just wait, I have something even better in store for you." But we get anxious and we want the answer now. It's too hard to wait for something better when we want to see results right now.
May we put our faith and trust in our Heavenly Father who wants all good things for us.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17 KJV)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 KJV)
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. (James 1:4 KJV)
